eTeklogics has been utilizing barcodes for over 20 years to help our customers track their products and assets. The Traxfast product line uses barcode labels to tag locations, fixed assets, and product inventory for fast and easy recording of receipt, movement, inspection, and shipment transactions.

Barcodes , because of size and application constraints, have traditionally been used on packaging and large items. With the introduction of the TraxDot it is now possible to apply barcodes to individual items such as tools, medical instruments, computer chips, etc.

The TraxDot is an ideal identification solution for small parts tracking. The TraxDot performs in extreme conditions where abrasion and high temperatures may be an issue. It's durable enough to withstand harsh environments including solvents, caustics and acids. This 3/8" diameter label uses a DataMatrix ECC200 to identify and track property as well as record calibration and maintenance information while only taking up one-tenth the space and maintain bar code readability if as much as 60% of the label is damaged.

RFID

RFID is the fastest growing identification technology today. Unlike barcodes RFID tags do not have to be in line of sight to be read and up to 1,000 tags can be read simultaneously.

RFID tags can be read/write meaning that data can be recorded on the tag itself. Storage capacity varies from 1 bit, used in security applications, to 512 bits, used to store data that needs to travel with the product, such as in, food distribution. Data can be recorded throughout the distribution cycle without the need of a centralized computer system.

RFID tags come in a variety of physical forms, shapes, sizes, and protective housings to meet particular application needs.

GPS

GPS is perfect for tracking assets beyond the warehouse. Fixed asset GPS coordinates can be plotted on maps to provide visual identification and advanced routing capabilities. With a standard PDA equipped with a GPS receiver you can record an assets GPS coordinates simply by standing next to it, no label or tag identification is needed. The GPS coordinates become the assets location which then can be used to plot on maps for accurate up to date reporting on an assets location and status. Advanced routing capabilities can draw maps and provide step by step directions from asset to asset.
